Video Taping???

This should be a good discussion starter. Not long ago on a talk radio station I listen to, there was a discussion about partners video taping intimate acts of themselves for their viewing pleasure. I only caught the end of the segment, but I got to thinking. Just what is the appeal of taping yourself having sex with someone else?

Anyone here ever done so? If so, why? For what purpose? What is the draw of watching yourself and your loved one on video?

I never have. I don't really see the appeal in it either. Unless I'm banging this ridiculously hot chick, I know it's only going to happen a few times, it could be a good to show off.

But if I want to watch people have sex, I'll just throw in a porn. A porn featuring people with misshaped heads!

I always figured that even if I had a desire to tape myself, the fear of having it get out would squelch any idea of really doing it.

The show I listened to based the discussion around a teenaged daughter who took her mom's video camera and sold it, not realizing that a tape was still in it, said tape containing scenes of mom and her mom's boyfriend in intimate acts. Needless to say, said video ended up on the internet.

There was a story in one of our papers about a year ago, how the local butcher took back the wrong tape to the Video rental store.
The next customer to rent the film, got home with it and had the honour to watch the butcher humping his wife for an hour.

Apparently the majority of the village had watched it by the end of the following day.

I just thought about this. The one over-riding reason I would never video my wife and I having sex.......

She would critique me as we watch it. I can hear her now. "Now here, you should have squeezed a bit harder. And if you could manage to give a little bit of a twist here, it would be so much better. And btw, film does not make things look bigger."

it is beyond me why people want to video tape themselves.

But, if they do, I would suggest- taping it, watching it, then destroying it.
In that order.

It's really along the same lines as keeping the lights on, or doing it in the mirror.

The main advantage with film is that you can videotape yourself while having sex with a video tape of yourself havign sex in the background ad-infinitum...ok maybe that's not the MAIN thing...

i'm not sure. while i have nothing against it in principle, why would i ever want to watch the video with a loved one if the loved one was handy and we can just go right at it?

or is it to watch alone? that i wouldn't want either... hmmm, dunno. i guess it just isn't for me. it reminds me of tourists taking 500 pictures on a day long trip not having time to take everything in and then having to look back at the pictures to see where they were... i say seize the moment while it's there.
