Hi, my brother is removing the catheter today. This will trouble him too
much, because he must get back to normal urinating. His bladder will be
weak and lazy to push and needs time to get over this. Then, he should do
things to help him passing without the catheter like breathing deeply and
coughing .
I know that some juices like guava juice helped him the last time alot. Do
you know others that could be of any use? thanks .
I think cranberry juice is wonderful for the bladder but don't know if it's easy to pass. Hope he is feeling better!!!!
I know that people with bladder infections are urged to avoid spicy food because of bladder irritation prompting frequent urination.
unsweetened cranberry juice is a natural diuretic and will make your brother want to 'go' often. I'm not positive that going more often will strengthen the muscles faster but it seems like it might. The juice is quite acidic on its own and can be diluted 1:8 in water.
Juices
Cranberry juice, maybe.
Blueberry juice is best - then cranberry.
Apple juice is good too. I used to babysit for a family which kinda forced apple juice on their kids while they were toilet training. Made 'em go. Made 'em go good.
eating some nice aspargus should also be helpful - that's my personal experience. hbg
