Hi, i'm going on vacation in a week and i really didnt want to get my period while i was there . i used to take a 28-day BC (miranova) and now i've been on estrostep for 4 months. i know you could take the 28-day pill back to back to prevent your period, but can you do that with estrostep?
and if you have sex can you get pregnant?
i hope someone can answer my question pronto!
As I remember it, the middle of your period is when you are least likely to become pregnant. You are most likely around the time you ovulate, but then you don't do that if you take birth control pills. As far as adjusting this so you don't have a period when on a romantic vacation... I have no idea. Er, did you look at the calendar when you made plans? In any case, speak with your doctor.
If you are taking it properly, you have a low chance of getting pregnant. Estrostep is a contraceptive.
Talk to your doc. I don't put any of this stuff into my body, so I can't say from experience.
Just a note: It seems weird to me to alter your birth control simply to accomodate a vacation.
