I use here as template one of the Vindolanda Tablets excavated in Northern England (Tablet 291 - from Claudia Severa to Lepidina):

translation:
Rafael to his friend greetings.
On the day before the Nones of August (4th August) for the day of the celebration of my birthday, I give you a warm invitation to make sure that you come to us, to make the day more enjoyable for me by your arrival.
