Hi Dutchy,

Thank you for confirming those two answers for me, much appreciated! Very Happy

I learnt how to put 'quotes' in posts today- although it did take me a while to work out how to get the '.... wrote' at the top of the box! Laughing
It may come in handy for the future.

Hope you're having a good weekend.
Talk to you soon.
Take care Dutch.
Warm regards, Butterfly Very Happy

Hi Lezzles

The word in question was a difficult one to settle on, when I reach such a stage, I usually go to my reference library and try to find the correct answer. On this occasion I referred to the following books:

1. Encarta® World English Dictionary, North American Edition
2. The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language
3. Infoplease Dictionary
4 Dictionary.com
5 Online Plain Text English Dictionary
6 Rhymezone
7 AllWords.com Multi-Lingual Dictionary
8 Hutchinson's Dictionary of Difficult Words
9 Luciferous Logolepsy
10. WordNet 1.7 Vocabulary Helper
11 LookWAYup Translating Dictionary/Thesaurus
12 Stedman's Online Medical Dictionary, 27th Edition
13. The On-line Medical Dictionary
14 Dorland's Illustrated Medical Dictionary

These books can all be found on-line. Hope this helps.

Regards Dutchy.

Hi Dutchy,

This is what I managed to learn today:

Earlier today, Julksy included a 'quote' in one of her messages relating to something I had said in a previous post, and I wanted to learn how to do it, as I thought it might be handy to use the 'quote' feature at some point in the future.

After some trial and error, I finally managed to work it out! Laughing

Hope you have a nice evening.
Take care Dutch.

Hi Dutchy,

I like your avatar- are you a big soccer fan?

Dutchy wrote:

I hope I have written this in a way that makes sense to you Dutch, I'm not very good with these things! Laughing

keep:
*
* The text you want to use as a quote.
* The 'end' quote sign, which is found in brackets at the very end of the post (brackets included)

Delete:
* All other text that you don't want to appear in the quote- using the cursor and the backspace key.

Then:
*Place the cursor at the start of the text that you want to quote and use the backspace key to bring it up directly behind
*Place the cursor at the start of the 'end' quote sign, and use the backspace key to bring it up directly behind the text.

Hopefully, Laughing , when you have a look at 'preview', it will appear the way you want it to. (fingers crossed!)

Let me know if this helps- if not, I'll go back to the drawing board and try to word it better.

Have a good afternoon and enjoy your Sunday crossword.
Talk to you soon Dutch. Warm regards, Butterfly Very Happy

Hi Butterfly

Thanks for your extensive tutorial, I must be thick, just can't get the hang of it. Embarrassed

I found my Avatar last night whilst looking for some advice on "quote", tried to find a "Tulip" to go with Dutchy. Laughing

Could not find the tulip so settled for the soccer ball, and yes I'm a keen supporter of the Socceroos, but also a red-hot Aussie rules fan, and follow Port Power. Smile

My puzzle is coming along fine. Talk to you soon.
Regards Dutchy.

Hi Dutchy,

I think all you forgot to do was put
directly behind 'Hi Butterfly' to close the quote. Have another try Dutchy!
You're doing well- it took me ages to work it out! Laughing

It's a shame they didn't have a 'tulip' avatar to go with 'Dutchy' Laughing
I was very lucky to have found an avatar that matched my name. Laughing

Glad your crossword is going well.
Talk to you soon.

Hi Dutchy!
I imagine you've solved it by now, but for what it is worth try UNDECIDED and RIGHTEOUS.

Hi Dutchy,

Thats ok- I know you were just testing me!
It explains why I couldn't find anything close to the clue in the 11 answers that I had, matching the letters given- tricky tricky! Laughing Laughing

Morally Correct = Righteous

Oxford Dictionary Of English Definition:
Righteous Arrow adjective 1. Morally right or justifiable:feelings of righteous indignation about pay and conditions

'Having no opinion'- out of a possible 11 answers for the letters that you have,'undecided' seems the best option, but I'm still trying to find a definition for it that exactly matches the clue- I'll keep looking for you. Laughing

Let me know how you go.

Have a nice evening. Talk to you soon.
Warm regards, Butterfly Very Happy

Hi Lezzles and Butterfly

With two astute assistants like you how can I go wrong. Laughing

I will settle for "undecided" and "righteous" as you have suggested. Thank you both very much.

My Sunday puzzle is now finished and I'm about to go and watch the rest of the cricket. We're still in it I guess.

Talk to you soon.
Regards Dutchy.
