An influential Democratic congressman - who voted for the Iraq invasion in 2003 - has called for the immediate withdrawal of US forces from Iraq.
John Murtha - a decorated Vietnam War veteran - said US troops had become "a catalyst for violence" in Iraq.
I think it's amazing how fast you can go from being a well thought of legislator and decorated Vietnam veteran, to cowardly traitor.
Is that it? Just a personal smear? Name-calling? Is this a meme?
Murtha, a Marine intelligence officer in Vietnam, angrily shot back at Cheney: "I like guys who've never been there that criticize us who've been there. I like that. I like guys who got five deferments and never been there and send people to war, and then don't like to hear suggestions about what needs to be done."
Referring to Bush, Murtha added: "I resent the fact, on Veterans Day, he criticized Democrats for criticizing them."
To call as decorated veteran a "traitor" for not supporting a coward's war of gain is the height of idiocy and treachery.
The angry striking out behaviour is instructive. I think it's indicative of a politically terminal condition. "The Madness of King George".
Who has called Murtha a traitor? I don't think that's the correct way to read Stevepax' post. If someone else has called him a traitor, I'm not aware of it.
He's not a traitor, he's just wrong ... that's all.

You forgot "opinion."
That's not an opinion Brandon. An opinion has a modicum of reason.

He's "a fine man" and "a strong supporter of the military" according to Bush in Bejing, and "People should feel comfortable about expressing their opinions about Iraq."

This is known as sarcasm
Actually, the better explanation is being facetious.

Bush can't stand dissent, or criticism, because everything he has ever done has been right
