Hi,

I'll state my case, of which I'm certain -- What does it mean?
What does 'saw it through' mean? (I did what I had to do and without exemption?
(The record shows I took the blows and did it my way!) What does 'I took the blows' mean?

Thank you

I'm presenting these facts that I know are true.

What does 'saw it through' mean? (I did what I had to do and without exemption?
To see something through means to finish it or, at least, go through the circumstances.

I took the blows is from boxing. It means to receive the punchs. The songwriter is saying the singer took whatever life dealt out and dealt with it.
Thank you
