I would be too intimidated by such a crowd. Perhaps I will rent a room in a hotel across from Sublime's place and watch the activities through binoculars.

Make sure to leave the drapes open in the party room, osso.

OB, I thought sublime was keeping a list... don't know where I got that idea, sometime early on. Huh. He was probably dumbfounded when I emailed him all my info. OK, will pm.

I am keeping track of the names for the entry list.

Anyone still needing my address or directions send me a PM.

Sublime needs names for the guest list... but I'm not sure he's keeping track of all the contact info. Good if he is.

Does Occom have the necessary software on his laptop for the potential hold 'em tournament?

Or will you guys simply be playing poker like they did in the Wild West?
I have Party Poker, and Golden Palace Poker installed... but I don't know how that would help an in person gathering? Confused Why not just meet us there, you old coot?

Judging by C.I.'s taste in Hotels; I don't think he's in the habit of gambling with money he can't afford to lose. Besides, when side-pots are properly utilized with buy-in restrictions; virtually none of those Wild West situations can occur.

I've never been a gambler; even when my wife and I visited Reno or Vegas. I had a friend that gambled all the time, and he always got those promotional lodging and meals, but I'm sure in the long run it was very expensive.

Figured it out from long time ago that those gambling houses aren't in business to lose money. The odds are always in favor of the house; otherwise most of em would be broke by now. Wink

A few weeks ago I woke up and there was fog coming in off the lake. In the distance I could just make something out at the top of the building opposite me. I have kept my blinds closed ever since.

I'm talking about the program with all the bells and whistles and timers that keeps the tournament moving along at a brisk pace and informs the players when the blinds go up.

Most tournaments I play in someone will invariably have such a set-up.

I thought I had concealed myself better than that. I will have to work on my abilities to walk in the shadows unnoticed.

Never heard of it. Do you know what it's called? I'll buy it if you come.

I am embarrassed that occom bill is doing so much more than I am.

We are lucky that bill and timber do not exhibit that inferiority complex about chicago that is otherwise so prevalent in wisconsin. Smile

I suspect you're confusing pity for an inferiority complex. I drove through twice today on my way to and from Detroit to pick up a Smokeeter. Highest sales tax in the Midwest, largest tax base, and seemingly the only State that charges tolls for their roads between Wisconsin and Michigan... yet cumulatively, ya'll can't seem to parlay that into one decent highway. I wonder if anyone's suggested to Dailey to improve the transit system (with some dirt roads or something... preferably with lanes wider than the wheelbase of the average truck)? No need whatsoever for State lines and signs as your highways tell the tale on their own (and have for as long as I can remember). $2.50 for that pot-holed wreck you call a sky-way is equally obscene. This, without even mentioning that pitiful pseudo-football team you're generous enough to claim as your own. Razz (Of course, McMahon did have that one very respectable year in his career… 1996, wasn't it?)

Your choice: Honkers Ale or Goose Island IPA. I am going to get a 5.5 gallon keg of one of these, (I may even have some IPA left from the current one) so does anyone have a preference? Check the links for a better description than I can give.

All Goose Island beers are tasty good. I have no preference.

Hmm, Eva, we middle-Europeans are quite used to such weather.
(Hoping, it'll be a bit warmer in NM the other week  )

That's a long-range forecast, so it is liable to change. But it's very typical of weather around here in early May, so packing some warm clothes is a good idea.
