excellent!
Want to meet us beforehand at the au Bon Pain at 122 S. Michigan? (I figure we'll be leaving there at about nine a.m..)

Later today I'll put a note re all this on the Just the Facts thread.

Hey you guys, I am sorry I will not be attending your Chicago gathering, it could have been fun!

Have a good time, enjoy yourselves and send me a postcard.

There are strictly defined limits,Mathos, in English manners to how far one can tastefully go in an effort to make oneself popular. I rather think you went beyond them with that piece of utter inanity.

While there are no strictly defined limits, Spendius, as to how far one can tastefully go in an effort to make oneself unpopular; I rather think your behavior on this thread defined the outer limits. You will not be missed.

Don't bet on that; despite a withering fusillade, not a shot fired so far has taken him out.

Several of us (OccomBill, mac11 and myself) are staying at the Days Inn Lincoln Park. C.I. is splurging at the Millennium Knickerbocker. Walter is staying at the Essex Inn, and Osso will be at the Downtown Travelodge.
Please copy this and add yourself and destination to the list, gatherers.

Alternately; if any/everyone wants to PM me their contact info; I'll correlate it and act as a hub for interested gatherers to get info. I have several already. My laptop is coming along for the ride.

OB, I"m wondering if I should bring my laptop, but it's big and weighs a ton. At my age, it's a bloody bone cruncher.

You're perfectly welcome to use mine. I figured I'd just set it up someplace at the gathering for gatherers use.

Your choice: Honkers Ale or Goose Island IPA. I am going to get a 5.5 gallon keg of one of these, (I may even have some IPA left from the current one) so does anyone have a preference? Check the links for a better description than I can give.

OB, I thought sublime was keeping a list... don't know where I got that idea, sometime early on. Huh. He was probably dumbfounded when I emailed him all my info. OK, will pm.

Does Occom have the necessary software on his laptop for the potential hold 'em tournament?

Or will you guys simply be playing poker like they did in the Wild West? I can see Cicerone Imposter, angered over a losing hand, pulling his revolver and shooting Bill in the chest at close range.
