I'll arrive at Midway at early noon on May 4.
I depart Midway at 2:05PM on May 9.

C.I., you silly man; Walter, Brooklyn and I use ourselves for avatars so we shouldn't be too tough to spot. Or just look for the Cheesehead sitting next to the gorgeous blonde, the flat-lander and the intelligent looking German fellow. :wink:

OB, Pictures can be deceiving; I wouldn't show my driver's license picture to anyone. I scare myself! LOL

My DL is no glamour shot either. I had buzzed my hair almost completely off before that one was taken. The one you see of me (<-there) isn't 2 years old and I've changed not at all... save a hair cut. Walter's mug shot leaves no doubt it's Walter and I've seen several or Brooklyn (she really is that pretty). I think you'll be okay.

I won't have any problem identifying Walter; I've met him and his wife, and shared a few get togethers in London and Lippstadt. I consider Walter an "old friend."

I suspect the diversity of our group will likely stand out pretty well, as well. I'll add Sublime to the set in stone list as soon as he confirms 6:30. How many guys in the windy city could bear such a striking resemblance to John Belushi, :wink:?

Ok, I'll start taking notes and posting a who's here and list of planned events on the just the facts board.

Move realjohnboy into the Definite column. My key employees checked their calendars and decided they could do without me again.
My plan is to arrive at Midway @ 2:45 pm or so on the 5th and leave at 10:15 am on the 8th. I will be staying at the Inn at Lincoln Park in the same block, I think, as the place Occom Bill is staying. Perhaps we and anyone else staying in that area could trek to the pub together Friday night.

Somebody needs to post the link to the "Just the Facts" board. I went back three pages, and can't find it.

Duke of Perth. That reminds me of a story (no, johnboy, no. Too late; johnboy is telling the story). Charlottesville is surrounded by Albemarle County. Thomas Jefferson, James Monroe and later Edgar Allan Poe hung out here. A big land-owning family was the Duke family. But like a lot of folks in the post civil-war era, they were land rich and dollar poor. One of the sons went to England and managed to misplace a comma when he checked into boarding houses: he became James, Duke of Albemarle. When the innkeeper finally demanded payment, James would skip town.
My 10th grade government teacher was Miss Duke, vaguely descended from that side of the family. She told that story with great relish.

johnboy is funny. he's always welcome to tell stories.

That reminds me, RJB, can you bring a recent real estate section from the Charlottesville paper when you come?

I'd certainly be there if I still lived in Chicago! But I'm waaay far now.
