Would he be able to pick you up for the trip in if he did, Gus? Hell, if we can pick you up in KC for the meet, I'll drive down and get you!

Maybe the two of you (joe and bill) can get together and coordinate a contact point for the visiting A2Kers???

If he gets into Chicago on Friday, then we can meet at Duke of Perth for the all-you-can-eat fish-and-chips. And then he can buy me the beer he promised me. Drunk Hell, we can all meet there and then go to B.L.U.E.S. or Kingston Mines afterwards.
Sounds good to me! I love a good fish fry and Drunk What time do you want to meet? I'll be the guy that looks like me, sitting next to a guy who looks uncannily like Walter.

I don't know anything about that hotel, but it's in a great neighborhood. One of my favorite pubs, the Duke of Perth, is about two blocks north of there on Clark St. Very good location too: on three bus lines and about five blocks from an el station, and easy to catch a cab there too.
Thanks for confirming the neighborhood. Good about the busses, El and taxi availability too. I like Taxis when I don't know where I'm going.

Hear that Eva? Soz? Other unconfirmeds? Good neighborhood, supposedly award winning Hotel and a great price to match! Don't delay, act now, supplies are running out. But don't answer yet; there's more! First drink at Joe's Duke of Perth is on O'bill! Reserve your spot today!

Were you pulled over for a traffic violation, Walter?

The picture of Walter was taken by the German police. The number under the picture is their "case" number. Wink

The Duke of Perth gathering kind of got me inclined to move from the Undecided category to the Probable. I am not ready to commit yet. I, too, need permission to take off. In this case for four days.
I had to make several trips from Virginia to Oregon since Christmas. On my last one back, the connecting flight was overbooked and they needed three volunteers to switch to a later one. The deal was pretty sweet: hotel, dinner and breakfast and travel vouchers. I made my way to the counter, only to take an elbow to the gut from a little old lady. By the time I recovered, I was fourth in line.
If I do make it, I'll look like the guy who is about to hit you up for spare change. Unlike Gus, who will hit you up for spare change.

Actually, I think the number below is Imageshack's doing. My understanding is that German police carry pre-filled forms that only require the speed and Walter's signature be filled in. Saves them a lot of time filling out predictable paperwork.

Checking in - lot of action here in the days I've been off a2k! (Hi, CI!!!)

The change to Sunday for the get-together sounds fine to me. I want to be in on the art institute thing, for sure. Interested in the Duke of Perth get together - not sure when I am meeting some childhood friends yet.

I get there on Thursday, Eva, so I'll mostly be around...

Anyone want to join Walter and I on the trolley tour?

I have a question. Maybe it's silly. Is there someone specific I would need to tell that I'm coming to be added to the count? Or somewhere specific I need to post it? Or can I just give a shout out and say:

HEY! YO! Count me in!
