J_B, The link doesn't work for me!
Yeah, I just noticed it brings you to the WTTW home page. I'll work on it and try to get a link that goes straight to Check Please.
Try this one, it should bring you to the "Check Please" page. The 'Reviews by Cuisine' and 'Restaurants A-Z' are tabs on the left.
Check Please
Also, I've noticed I have to wait for all the A2K banner ads to finish loading on this current page before any of my links work.
J_B, Check Please works okay. Thx. c.i.

Now if there are 10 people who are
good at No limit hold-em who wanna play some cards I think I would be bumped into the "will attend if time permits" category.... ;-)
Seems like I'm not on the "will attend list," so I'll have to have my own gathering. LOL
Anyone intersted can contact me at the Millennium Knickerbocker Hotel in Chicago from May 5 to May 9.
craven, if you can stick around until Monday, I'm definately in the Texas, no-limit holdem game

I can try to brush up on my skillz. I'm very rusty.
I'm a player ... unless the game's in a non-smoking area.
I was rolling dice in the boys room for lunch money while you clowns were putting the gold in th golden rule.

After I sent this post I recall that I'm a wiz at no-limit holdem when I'm playing for play money ($60,000 in an account that started at $1,000) but I'm untested when there's real dough on the line. I better watch what I get myself in to.
J_B, No limit sounds like it's gonna be very expensive for the losers. Used to play poker for omoney many decades ago, but it's always been a "friendly" game with limits. Most anyone lost was about $100 or so.
It doesn't have to be expensive, CI. Everybody starts out with the same amount - whatever is agreed upon, but eventually it all ends up in the hands of the ultimate winner. It could be 10 people with $10 or any other amount.
Gee wilikers, I have never played cards before for money. And I have never sho...I mean, played the game of pool, which as I understand it, involves sending balls bouncing around a table.
What if Gus shows up and places a bet of a live sheep? What if you win? How would you ever get it home?
So many things to ponder beteween now and May 6th.
Hmmm, guess I should try to clear my calendar and make a trip to Chicago in May. My wife would like that since she is from that area (Zion).
Count me as a possible y'all. This clown may try to be there.
Does that mean you are providing the entertainment, CR?
Hmmmm, now there's an idea. Just what the gathering needs, some good old entertainment. I just may have to bring old Prof. BillyBob and his pet possum Pookie up to Chicago. They've never been to the big city before.
CR, Make sure your makeup is the same in the Windy City so we can recognize you.
