Can any one help me with this for homework?
How did the Religion (Islam) affect the way in which the goverment leaders made certain decisions? ERA being time of Muhammad.
islam united most of all the middle east under one nation, the califate..
If you can get a copy of "Islam" by Alfred Guillaume it features a lot of in-depth material about the Prophet and his struggles with the politically powerful - especially in Mecca. It's actually a very interesting topic and Guillaume is a respected authority. The book is very easy to read, not at all dry and dusty.
