Where di all the furniture go?

Now that the war is over and everything, where did all the furniture go? It was reported that when the troops went into the palaces, they used the gold fixtures and other stuff, but the rooms were empty.

Now, were they furnished before? If they were, when and where was all the furniture moved? If it went to Syria, had to be a lot of moving vans late at night. Maybe Saddam was one of the movers? And all those oriental rugs.....
