about 6 months or so ago i suddenly lost about 20 pounds. i've been in a very active job (landscaping) for about a year, and maybe i just wasn't getting enough calories...my high energy lasted through the rest of the summer but recently i've been very lethargic, fatigued, somewhat depressed...i'm 5'6 and now only weight about 110 pounds. i need to get my weight back, but i have no appetite, and am nauseated by food easily. my doctor also says i have low blood sugar. towards the end of the summer i suffered heat exhaustion and dehydration, which began the downward spiral of my energy. i'm only 19 and don't want to feel like this! any ideas?
When I had a stroke almost 2 years ago I lost over 20 lbs while in the hospital. I have not gained any of it back. The doc (my third) told me the meds I am taking to prevent another stoke have the side-effect of nausea following anything I eat. It's a bummer.
those are some good tips, thank you. i have since quit my job landscaping. from august to september, before i quit, i did have some dehydration problems, but the weight loss was march-april. some very stressful things were going on in my life, but things have calmed down mostly by now. i have been to at least 5 doctors, who tell me i have organic phosphorus poisoning (i don't think that's it), anxiety, low blood sugar, etc. i've even had to make a few trips to the ER for tingling, dizziness, vision problems, confusion, metallic taste...???
i have just started taking the BC pill Estrostep which i hear has a side effect of weight gain but also fatigue. i just hope that low blood sugar is all that it is! could weight gain help this too?
