Ok Dys. The reason things this stupid are brought up and passed, even with no chance of being enforced, is that politicians are basically whores. The city of SF probably does endorse this thought on gun control. So some local politicians, in hopes of being the whore of choice in the next election, are taking the opportunity to pander to this frame of thought. The ad campaign for the next election will reflect this as well. "Even though it was shot down, I stood up for you, and will continue to do so until I find another cause that will advance my political career."

So, here it is. It is a picture of something gone really wrong at work.
Theatrical lighting: The long piece is an HMI1200 lamp. When ignited, it burns at 5200 degrees Kelvin (damn hot, don't touch). The round object is a high temperature gobo (pattern that goes in a light).
The meeting of the 2 is a design flaw. The gobo fell out of it's holder, slid through the minscule opening in the heat shield and then melted (so much for the high temp idea) to the lamp. In 20 years of lighting, I had never had this happen to me, nor have I heard of it. So therefore, had to be documented as in a picture. When joining this sight, I quickly grew tired of the comments on my SideShow Bob avatar, and needed something NO ONE else had....and now you know.
When they outlaw guns only Canadians will have guns. Canadiens even.
Just wanted to get that out of my system.
I have given up all hope that the legislators will make improvements on any of our laws.

Thanks, I can now add you in knowing that it wasn't one of those "personal use" devices, or some such thing. I can rest easy.
For something unique, you can always use a pic of yourself like I did. Nobody can copy that and claim that it's themself. :wink:
