so i've taken latin a long time ago and now i'm in need for a translation. for "life is sweet"...would that be 'vita dulcis' or 'vita e dulcis' or am i just wrong on both of those.
hrm...
tom
I'd take a bet on the first one, like Vita Dolce.
Vita dulcis
"Vita dolce" is italian version I think
yeah, that's why I was betting on the first one he presented, since it was closest to italian.
La dolce vita? Is there a difference between "life is sweet" and "the sweet life"?
I think so....
Like vita bella, there's a big difference between say life is beautiful and beautiful life,
The first is permanent, the 2nd transitory.
Life is sweet, life is beautiful, is saying ALL life, not just one person or even humans in general.
Saying sweet life or beautiful life connotes a temporary situation with one's life.
In Italian I would translate "La vita รจ dolce"
