There is quite a variety of Christians. Among them, a certain number of hypocrites who profess to be Christians but who don't follow the teachings of Christ.

@FBM,
What do you think are the "teachings of Christ" and why do you think that they are? What Christian would you think would not want to follow a "teaching of Christ"?

In other words, what do you think a Christian would have to gain, by claiming to be Christian and rejecting "these teachings"? Do you think it would be to promote "evil" or explain "good, truths" about this God? that they think many others do not know or care about...In a way where they care about Jesus, or do not care about Jesus?

@XXSpadeMasterXX,
The teachings of Christ are in the Bible. The definition of 'hypocrite' should not be hard for you to find in a standard dictionary.

That is a complex question. Why not ask such a complex question to someone like Izzy or Spades who think that they may have a good answer? Question Question Question Question

There's nothing complicated about it, the names are Anglicised (or Francified or whatever language is local) for the audience. Peter/Petros/Pierre.

Why anyone would ask such a dimwitted question is beyond me, but you've cornered the market in such things. That's why you parrot Melanie Phillip's bigoted hysteria about shariah law being imposed in the UK. It's nonsense, and a smokescreen for your obvious dislike of darker coloured people.

As far as credibility goes, yours is at rock bottom. You started off pushing a hardline atheist agenda, and now you claim some sort of pseudo paganism, but you can't get that right. You shouldn't be thanking Thor, but Odin the all father, who sacrificed himself to learn the secret of the runes. Then again you seem completely unaware of priestesses, viewing religion as a purely male thing.

Now wonder you find simple questions complicated, you've got no idea about anything.

Are the teachings of Christ only in the Bible? Is the definition of the word "hypocrite" only located within the Bible? Or is it possible to find it somewhere else as in a dictionary?

A Christian is defined by how you live...not what you read...

And a believer is someone who profess' faith in Jesus Christ, not someone who quotes what another has to say about "God"...Or their faith to a "book"

@XXSpadeMasterXX,
I don't think the definition of 'hypocrite' is anywhere in the Bible. If you say you are a Christian, though, by definition you're claiming to follow his teachings, which are found in Bible.

@FBM,
Do you know if this definition came from a Christian himself? Or someone who was not a Christian himself?

Would you like to know what my definition of a Christian is? Or are you more interested in someone else's definition of a Christian? Who also profess' that they are not a Christian?

@XXSpadeMasterXX,
No, I'm not interested in your definition of 'Christian.' I have a dictionary.

@FBM,
So then you are more interested in someone else's definition of a Christian who also profess' that he is not one?

OK...that is good to know...(There is no way for me to convince you, if you do not want to believe it is true, while you also claim you are not a Christian...because I am one...and you are not...Or claim to be...)

(This question meant for the statement in quotes...Do you think that this is true?)

@XXSpadeMasterXX,
How do you know that the authors of all those dozens of dictionaries that give essentially the same definition are all non-Christian? They don't profess anything of the sort in their work. Hedge much?

I never said that I believed that any of this had to be...Or that they had to give any inclination if they are...(yet)...(or not at all)...all that I asked you was if you knew if those definitions came from a Christian themselves? Or not?

Would you care to explain?

I never gave any explanation/inclination if or why I thought that they were or were not Christians...

I simply asked you if you thought they were?

(Or are you more interested in someone else's definition of a Christian?)

Why do you honestly think that I have asked you this question?

You're the one who said they aren't Christians. I gave and have no opinion at all about it.

This is another daft bumpersticker question. We do have RE in our schools, and they study all religions.

You are incorrect...I have never said if I thought that they were or were not...And you are also correct, (my own interpretation) you never explained if you thought that they were or were not...and I have not said that you have...and that is why I keep asking you if you think that they are? (if you do not know, or want to explain a rejection then that is a fine answer, and if you honestly do not want to answer my question then that is fine also...I just want to hear you explain what you think the truth is regarding it)

Then I will explain to you why I am asking you the question...
