The new de Young museum has opened in San Francisco

The new de Young museum has opened in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. The new museum replaces the old one built in 1895, which was damaged by the Loma Prieta earthquake in 1989. The new museum's architecture and landscape is breathtakingly beautiful.

I hope OssoBuco will be able to visit it before she moves to Albuquerque.

I hope I will be able to visit it next time I'm in SF. Last time, it wasn't ready yet. So I spent a lot of time at the Asian Art museum. Thanks, BBB.

Next time I "go back home to visit" the family, I will make a point of going to see it. When I left in May, it definitely wasn't finished and it has always been one of my very favorite places to go in San Francisco. All of Golden Gate Park has been actually, but I don't think I have ever been to the park and not gone to the de Young. I'm so happy it is finished!
