First of all, you are only 19, so your life hasn't even started yet! Very Happy
Trust me, you have so much to look forward to. Go to school. You will grow and learn in more ways than you can understand right now. And somewhere along the way, you'll figure out what you want to do. A lot, and I mean, A LOT of freshman have no clue what they are going to graduate with, heck many JUNIORS don't know. College is a time to grow and expand on all the things you wanted to learn and experience. Once you get out into the "real world" and have to "grow up" you will miss the days of being almost responsibility free. Fear and anxity is probably holding you back but don't let it! Think of it this way, if you go and you hate it you can always come home. But if you never do it, you will always think that maybe you missed out on something. College was the best time of my life and I wish I could have some of the things I had then, now. Like being able to sleep in all the time. Only working part time. Doing things for the first time.

As for feeling the way you do, it's completely normal. You are at a turning point in life where you realize you are not a child anymore, but aren't quite an adult. You are unsure of where your life is going and unsure of where you'd like for it to go. Not many people your age have it "all figured out" so it isn't just you. Your life can't be going no where because it has just started. Good luck picking a college.

Good advice Bella.

Shorty,

You're not alone in this feeling. I believe everyone has felt that way at one point or another, and often times for the reasons Bella outlined. It really sucks to not have any direction. It can lead to bad decisions, depression, and more.

The quickest cure is to find direction. College is an outstanding way to accomplish this. So you don't really know what you want to study or do? Go ahead and apply to some colleges, get accepted, and start taking your core classes. There are many students that go through 2 years or more of college before they discover what it is they want to major in. Once you're in college you can get a good feel for what is what, and what you're interested in.

You're not alone. You have options. Choose wisely, and good luck to you.

Life makes it far to easy to look at what and forget about how, you look at it all will determine what it is

what is in your life is easiest to focus on and easiest to change but no matter what you change it will always be the same until you can look at it properly. When you are makeing progress then take steps back, it isn't what progress you have made or what progress has been unmade its that your working at your progress and how your going to keep on with your progress reguardless. College isn't about what you study but how you study, being persistant at your homework and paying attention in class will teach you a far better lesson then any fact from any book from any subject
