I'm with you, Eva. "Real" chili should never have beans. Smile And Eva is right, Dys, we DO have Frito Pies here in our neck of the woods, too. I have not had the opportunity to partake of one yet though. I think I'll wait until I am in a real junk food mood. Smile

A Frito Pie food fight could get really, really messy. It's sad that the authorities believe there could be gang retaliation over a Frito Pie though. I mean, it's just a Frito Pie after all. Sad

Lady J, I don't think it was because of Frito pie itself, but simply because something was thrown and it just happened to be a Frito pie. That was all it took to set them off.

Hurling oranges and hurling are two very different things. Frito pie could be included in that connotation...

I don't need to hear "Frito pie" and "hurling" in the same sentence.

I never had frito pie before, but I'm adding it to my cook book. I get the frito corn chips right?

We certain could benefit from Cav's sophistication here.
Angelique, I agree, but I like beans with virtually everything, especially salads and soups--but not with my cheerios.

That is one of my select good memories from my fairly strange high school - sloppy joes - well, strange in retrospect. Sad to say I remember part of that being sort of a pillowy bun that I am sure was less healthy than that in Reyn's photo, which seems to be a gourmet sloppy joe.
