God Punishes Massachusetts

I just knew those Boston baked beans would come back to haunt us someday.

If the Whittendon Pond Dam is breached, then there will be sad consequences for Taunton.

I don't get the beans reference.

Sweet. Taunton is about 45 minutes south of me.

Tauton is an old mill town about forty miles south of Boston.
The heavy rains lately have put pressure on the dam,
a century old wooden structure. It is currently holding, but
has been buckling. Several timber columns have already washed
away and there is fear that the entire structure could fail.
