Down the the Pub the other day,a mate asked me why the sky was BLUE.This lead onto why the leaves on the trees are GREEN and why s**t is BROWN.
What we all want to know is who decided to name the colours. Why is red red,why is black black?????

Because they have to be called something. Its all associative.
An orange isnt orange, the colour is added.
And if rin tin tin and lassie had a fight who would win?

Hmm, why weren't you in a mine but in a pub?
I should think that the name for colours were 'invented' like any other words in languages.
Words are just sounds, we recognise a sound and relate it to something.

That won't explain everything, but it's a start.
This is going nowhere.I know WHY the sky is blue, but WHO named, called it blue
One or two of the first men (since it's a colour, most probably: first women) who could articulate.
