Hey i need some help with this columbus project i need a website about how he discovered rice or if any of you could tell me

You're right. I thought that rice was discovered in asia, not the americas. That columbus didn't discover rice at all. But, I'm no historian.

yeah we have to do this essay thing four essays it is sooo hard
From what I can tell, rice was introduced to europe after the much earlier (than columbus) expeditions to the orient. Those expeditions happened around 200 years before columbus tried to find the orient by sailing west - what he found instead were the americas. Columbus had rice on board as a food staple for his voyages tot he new world. Here's a link to a site which lists some of the new world finds:

wow that is very intersting i never knew that i am going to ask my social studies teacher .Whats really funny he is half french and spanish which is really cool.
Could the question he posed have been asked differently than what you typed here?
hmmmm i don't think so .It is supposed to be an essay.
