During the past 30 years Americans in general have been seriously dumbed-down by the USA educational system. This is one reason why the Bush Administration warmongers are getting away with their war crimes in Iraq. Below is a video tape showing a number of Americans being randomly interviewed on the street. They were asked, "In terms of the war on terrorism, which country should the USA invade next?" Their answers will astound you!

It will take a few minutes to load but the video is worth viewing.

I thought Bill "The Education President" Clinton got the education things straightened out there. You mean he failed there too?

Um ... I'm rather nervous about downloading stuff from unknown sites just now (some messy internet problems of late). Would someone whose seen the video be so kind as to tell me which countries were were suggested for invasion? I do hope I'm not living in one of them! Shocked

I wonder how many gave intelligent, well thought out answers but were not included in the video for obvious reasons?

But it was funny. A good way to start of the day.

Well, it did look like a lot of people were sticking pins in what appeared to be Australia as their country of choice to attack.

Of course, it appeared the questioner had Australia labled as some other country, so that may explain why.

Hope our military leaders are a bit more geographically skilled than these "average" Americans, otherwise Msolga, you better start building the bomb shelters.

I'm no brain surgeon, but I can tell if someone has mislabeled a whole country for God's sake.

Reminds me of a favourite old Randy Newman song:

Political Science

No one likes us-I don't know why
We may not be perfect, but heaven knows we try
But all around, even our old friends put us down
Let's drop the big one and see what happens

We give them money-but are they grateful?
No, they're spiteful and they're hateful
They don't respect us-so let's surprise them
We'll drop the big one and pulverize them

Asia's crowded and Europe's too old
Africa is far too hot
And Canada's too cold
And South America stole our name
Let's drop the big one
There'll be no one left to blame us

We'll save Australia
Don't wanna hurt no kangaroo
We'll build an All American amusement park there
They got surfin', too

Boom goes London and boom Paree
More room for you and more room for me
And every city the whole world round
Will just be another American town
Oh, how peaceful it will be
We'll set everybody free
You'll wear a Japanese kimono
And there'll be Italian shoes for me

They all hate us anyhow
So let's drop the big one now
Let's drop the big one now

Yes BTV, but unlike many people in this country, you and I have a tad bit of intelligence. It has been shown repeatedly and in many different ways that the average American is woefully deficient when it comes to geography.

Isn't it grand to be in the minority of intelligent people?

since most democrats are against the war it sort of shoots a hole in your statement, but it was knee slappin' hilarious I'll give you that. I can't stop laughing.
