Two of my all time favorite tvs shows were House of Cards and Glittering Prizes. Virtually no one has heard of the second one.

Also liked Prime Suspect. Eastenders, fine.

Have wandered away from tv watching for more than a decade. Well, really, since I went back to school in the eighties and got away from being glued to it. I feel a fit of it coming on again soon though.

Link for Glittering Prizes, written by Fredric Raphael (who did Two for the Road) - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0073999/

Don't know much about Glittering Prizes, Osso. House of Cards though, now you're talking.

Politics at its dirtiest.

I liked the stock non answer that he (Urquhart) gave to any tricky question.

"You may have good reason to believe that, but I cannot possibly comment" (or words to that effect).

MARVELLOUS!
