i really wanna write this poem but for the sake of tradition i would really like to understand the ins and outs of what an ode really is, like if there are a certain amount of stanzas, syllables etc.

if you could give me some good links or advice that would be handy.

pinkmonkey.com is a really good literature site. You can look at other examples of what you are looking for;ie stanzas syllablem, meters, rhyme scheme, etc.
