I was a military brat in Oromocto. My dad was posted there in 1958 when I was 2 years old. I was there until I was 9. I left in 1966. There seems to be confusion on dates with this agent orange issue. Some reports say it was the 50's and 60's. Some say 1966 only. Who is right.

I lost my mom in 1971 from breast cancer. She was 44 years old. I lost my dad a year and a half ago from cancer. He had skin cancer earlier in his life and later developed bowel cancer. He latter died from throat and lung cancer.

I have had idiopathic pancreatitis since I was 15 years old. I have to take pain medication on a regular basis. Doctors do not know why I have this disease.

It appears that there is a lack of interest on the governments behalf when dependents are concerned. I want to find out why.

My dad and mom, my sister and I all picked blueberries in the place called the "area". I am sure others did this as well. I remember how huge the berries were. Maybe it was from the contaminated soil.

I can't tellyou the exact dates, by the US military used Agent Orange throughout most of the 60's and into the 70's. If it was used in other countries or by civilians I am not aware of it. Check canadian websites to see if there is more information.
