I want to learn french! I've been trying to find a website through which i can do so but i can't. I need a website that is free and will send lessons by email? Any one know of the sort? Please...... help! Thanks a lot.
Désolé, je ne suis pas au courant.
france-pub offers some free lessons,
FrenchAssistant does so, too (but that's a commercial site, I think).
Salut!
Merci, for the frech-pub site... am now learning FRENCH! Hurray!
N'hésite pas à nous poser des questions, ou à poster en français pour pratiquer un peu la langue. Bon courage!
Thanks for posting that link, Walter. Daughter is having really hard time with French.
Was hoping to hunt down a place that would pronounce it too since the spelling is "funny."
I tried to tell her Spanish was easier and at least I could help her with that. She insisted that French is "prettier." I don't find D's on interim reports very attractive, but...
I know a lot of people who would say that Spanish and French are equally difficult, and that the major reason it is practical for americans to learn spanish is that it is so widely spoken here. Pronunciation is certainly more difficult in French. For example, the "r" that comes from the back of the throat rather than from the lips. But language is difficult no matter how you look at it. I happen to think that French is a very useful worldwide langauge because of its applicability in various places such as Africa, Canada, and other European countries. Tell your daugter we here at A2K say "Bonne Chance!"
Thanks, Danielle.
Can't wait to see the look on her face when she hears MY version of French pronunciation!
