Well that's most kind of you, and most gratifying to hear.

I spoke to crazy Steve two days ago. He is going up to Yorkshire for a trip. He has broken his computer and his car (auto) and the purchase of a new car took priority. I'd like to see him back online, and maybe we will, soon.

I've never been to Chicago, and I'd love to go there. Maybe next year?

Hi All, Since I'll be staying at the Holiday Inn Chicago Mart, maybe we can have one of our meets in the bar. Seems it will accommodate us nicely, because of its size, and the views should be pretty good too!

Did you bid on Priceline, Tak, or did you book it specifically? Hotels for that weekend don't look bad, and there are still plenty of seats on flights from Cville (via Charlotte or Philly).

rjb, I purchased it through Expedia; a combo airfare and hotel all for $661. If it wasn't for the taxes and fees, it would have cost about $550< for five nites. Can't be beat - even if I spent hours trying to do it on my own.

They booked me on US Air, and this will be my first experience with that airline. But what the hay, can't beat the price at about $70/nite (includes taxes) at the Holiday Inn not far from the loop.
