In the past several hours there has been heavy rain and flooding in the streets causing traffic problems.

How did you know this, Walter? Did you send a spy plane taking surveillance photographs? Smile

Another thought; saw on tv the flooding in the UK. Hope our friends in the UK are all safe and sound.

My wife borrowed the DVD "The Incovenient Truth" about global warming, and saw it yesterday. There is no doubt we're experiencing global warming; the ice caps in both north and south poles are meling at an alarming rate, and the result will be flooding of many coastal towns and villages where people live. It's going to be devastating, because the warming trend is increasing at an alarming rate.

joe??? What was the name of the place where we had a late-night dog last night?

joe and I met for an early dinner at the Raw Bar (they cook the food) on Clark before the game. I'd parked my car behind a hotdog joint across the street but it was less than an inch in front of and behind from the cars in my row. I was told to move my car within 30mins of the end of the game. Right.... we stopped for a post-game beverage and arrived at the lot right on time. Huh! No can move.... we decided to go inside for a quick hotdog and I believe it may have been the same name, eoe. 'twas good, especially at that hour.

Sing Me Back Home featuring The New Orleans Social Club
Date: 8/24/2007
Time: 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Park location: Jay Pritzker Pavilion
Six weeks after Hurricane Katrina, a group of legendary musicians from New Orleans gathered in Austin, Texas, to record Sing Me Back Home. Over seven magical days and nights, The New Orleans Social Club was born. For this debut performance in Chicago, we salute the musicians and culture of New Orleans.

Featuring the New Orleans Social Club: Ivan Neville, Leo Nocentelli, Raymond Weber, Tony Hall, and Henry Butler along with special guest Irma Thomas, Troy "Trombone Shorty" Andrews, Willie Tee, John Boutté, Hot 8 Brass Band and Chicago's own Koko Taylor and Mucca Pazza.

We've heard most of these folks before. They're worth a listen if anyone is in the area.
