Yes, we went to the Green Dolphin the day after Kingston Mines. The R&B band that played on the other stage at Kingston Mines was the band that played at Green Dolphin when we went there.

Somebody should have written all of this down.

What good would that do? I still wouldn't be able to remember the bouncer at Green Mill taking one look at me and saying "I can't let you in". Embarrassed Musta been that wicked good Zing Zang Sublime provided for the Bloody Marys. (Or maybe C.I. loaded that wonderful cigar he gave me.) Imagine the shape I must have been in several hours later at the Red Head Piano Bar. Shocked (Awesome music there, btw).

That's a shame. Thousands of people flock to Taste of Chicago and this is not good news. Chi-towners are a tough lot tho' and that may not deter them at all. If they/we could keep those nasty old hot dog and polish sausage vendors on Maxwell St. going decade after decade, with not a drop of running water in their tiny sidewalk shacks, then a little salmonella outbreak ain't so bad. No one died, right?

Me too. City Hall?? Yeah, go there if you want to be bombarded by alot of bs talk about this and that and a whole lotta nothing. Talk about putting a damper on ones' vacation???

and no. 10. - I mean, Orchestra Hall is nice but come on? Is there anything better than sitting out in Grant Park, listening to great music with the magnificence of the Chicago skyline on your right and the lake to your left?

I received a tip this morning that additional (face value) tickets were going to be released today at 4:00 through Ticketmaster. We're IN!!!! I don't know how many tickets were released but I heard it was going to be 'a significant number'. They were gone by 4:15. Next weekend includes Thursday and Friday nights at Fitzgeralds with Sonny Landreth and Guests (from the Crossroads lineup Cool ) and all day Saturday at Toyota Park for Crossroads. We generally like the small venue atmosphere of Fitzgerald's but large concerts are fun too. The contrast between Fitzgerald's and Toyota Park will be like the Parish House vs Jazz Fest in New Orleans (nods to Thomas). Woohoo!

I just found this on Rolling Stone

Thankee, thankee! Yup, I'm dancing here. Mr B was (is?) uncommitted about the full day at Crossroads. He thinks he might be done in after two late nights at Fitzgeralds. I took both tickets anyway. I'm sure I can find someone to take an extra one off my hands, should it come to that.
