Thanks for the great photo, Swimpy!

Joefromchicago is absolutely the best person to host an afternoon at a Cubs game.

How cool was it to see Lou Piniella kicked out for the first time (in a Cubs uniform)?

The game was great, but the company was better. JPB and Joe were such great hosts. And I finally got to meet those Abuzz and A2K legends, cicerone imposter and Walter Hinteler. And I can't forget the adorable Gargamel. (Oops, I've blown his cover. He is adorable, though.)
I've got some pictures I can post if the subjects are OK with it.

Aw, shux!

Sure, you can post any pictures with me in them.

I think it's time the people of A2K see who they're really messing with.

Bill, I'm sure ther will be more opportunities to meet in Chicago. You just need to get your ass up here and we'll make it happen.

Gus...Oh nevermind.

Aw, hi Swimpy! <waves>

That's a classic picture.

I thought you guys were gonna paint that on your CHESTS though, c'mon!

(Who was responsible for the letters? Nice job.)

(And B for Braves, subtle, very subtle.)

c. i. made the letters. They were excellent attention getters. We weren't seated for five minutes when one of the stadium photographers showed up to take our picture. Of course, they want to sell you those photos, but hey.

Swimpy and JPB are lovely women. JPB is an awesome hostess and the internationally recognized president of the A2K Chicago Chapter.

Yes, doesn't he look like Conan O'Brian? Very nice pictures, gang.
I especially like the CUBS one, very original of cicerone to make the
letters. One can see, the Chicagoans have a good time with their guests.

hbg: not when it is a picture of "frick 'n frack" aka as c.i. and walter

Thank god Swimpy posted a "better" picture of us!
As for JBPs story, there's always two sides, ya know! Now, for "our" side of the story. When Walter and I were at the Metra Station, I asked the ticket clerk we wanted to go to Lake-Cook Road, so I bought the ticket without further adew. As we were getting on the train, I asked the conductor how many stops to "Lake-Cook Road," but he told us we'll arrive about 3:25. With that information, Walter and I got on the train. When it was almost 3:45, we knew something was wrong, so I told Walter we should get off the train, and we did - at Lake Forest. After trying to put some slots into the pay phone (about six times), and trying to dial JPB's cell phone, I was ready for a bar.

Well, when JPB arrived, we all had a good laught, and she was very gracious after all this "sc....up." We visited the Japanese Garden which added to the serenity, and Walter and I were taking upteen pictures of the beautiful landscape and flowers. It's an amazing park, and I'd like to come back some day to spend the whole day. It's paradise on earth!

joe already gave the highlight of the Cub's game, but he forgot to add a couple of the entertainment in addition to the ball game. When the coach kicked his hat and sand, the right field fans started to throw their bottles on the field. It was fun to watch the cleanup crew come on the field and clean the whole mess in just a few minutes. The other was the band that played; they were very good.

After our ice cream break with Swimpy to prepae for her drive home, joe, Walter and I took a bus to (almost felt like California, it was so long), and ate at a Polish buffet restaurant. I really enjoyed the food, because they offered so many varieties and flavors.

On our way back, joe said he had a surprise for us. We attended the May Fest of Chicago; a roukous affair with a great band with an excellent vocalist. People watching was a great pleasure; many young families with their children, people swaying and singing, and just having a ball.

It was another great day in Chicago!

I will cut you.

Damn. My threats don't quite cut to the quick when y'all can see me smiling with coffee.

I feel kind of exposed. I wish I really were a Kool-Aid pitcher.
