I've just booked my sightseeing tours for Boston, New York .... and Chcago. (I've found a voucher from last year with a promotion code, still valid Laughing )

So, I'll have breakfast on Friday morning (details can by made between wandel, c.i. and me via PM). Afterwards, I've booked a short cruise from Navy Pier (11.15am - 1.15pm).

Since I don't have to leave my b&b before 9am on Monday: no restrictions for Sunday evening/night at all!

Maybe, all those who wish to join us at Au Bon Pain on Michigan Avenue can set up a time to meet on Friday. My time is flexible.

Walter, I still don't have "tickets" for the Navy Pier cruise, but I do have a two day "Go Chicago" card. Maybe, I can join you on that cruise. Wink

I wasn't sure where you and Walter are staying. Is the Michigan Au Bon Pain convenient for you guys? Also let me know whether breakfast or lunch is more convenient. I can show up for either breakfast or lunch, and at a place that's convenient to both of you.

SEPARATE ISSUE:
Does anyone follow the White Sox? They were playing "away" games this weekend. How did the Sox do?

As convenient as almost any place else, since I'm staying at N Lincoln Park Drive.

c.i.,

We can still modify the time or location if necessary. I will keep in touch with you and Walter before you guys actually get here.

I'm staying in a very very quiet neighbarhood - more or less opposite to Graceland cemetery

Are you planning any days of sightseeing in the downtown Chicago area, Walter? Will you and c.i. be sightseeing at the same time? I can meet both of you for breakfast or lunch at a location convenient for you.

Nothing more than kindly planned/suggested by JBP and Joe (besides that 'cruise' on Friday.)

Walter,

If you and c.i. are planning to meet for breakfast or lunch, let me know the details and I will join you. (location of your own choosing)

Not so good from what I heard (from my window). It would be just terrible if they get swept. (far from subtle sarcasm intended)

I knew that my question would "flush him out". (wasn't that clever of me?)

Wandel, Very clever. However, now, the more clever thing is to get him while we're still in Chicago. Wink

The free trolleys will be running by then. If you still have energy for the north shore trip/tour after your cruise, there is a trolley stand at Navy Pier that will take you directly to Union Station. Trains run every hour during midday and every few minutes during the afternoon rush. Let me know which train you're on and I will pick you up from here.

Also, Mr B says he has heard good reviews of the current Second City show. Thomas, joe, sublime, Mr B, and I enjoyed the show last year and we'll be glad to come down some evening to see the new one if there's any interest. Friday is already pretty full but we could come down either Saturday or Sunday evening.

sublime -- I think CI leaves on the 6th (not sure what time of day), are you back at work that day or available to meet for lunch?

I just checked the train schedule. The best option is the 2:35 which arrives here at 3:26. That's perfect for spending an hour or two at the botanic gardens and then venturing back down towards Evanston to meet joe for dinner.
