yep, joe and I discussed that very thing at dinner on Saturday. I almost wore my red sweater in commemoration of the event

It's way too early yet to make definite plans but it looks like the next thing to celebrate will be the first weekend in December. Any takers? I should be recovered from Sublime's birthday gathering at Martyrs by then Shocked

Marcia Ball will be at Fitzgeralds on Nov 17th. Mr B and I will be there. I'm not going to try to coordinate a gathering, but anyone is welcome to join us. And, based on what I see at the bottom of their calendar, I know where I'll be on New Year's Eve!!!!

Thanks, CI! Can you keep an eye on my daughter since you are also in California? (My daughter lives in Burbank and works for Warner Brothers Television as a production assistant.)

I have a niece in the Los Angeles area, but have no immediate plans to visit southern cal. However, you can tell your daughter if she's ever up in the San Francisco area to let me know. T.

Just as a warning: I'll most certainly be in Chicago again, in June 07.

Well who knows, yet. I'm not a great one for planning well in advance, as Walter can confirm.
Fiona my wife would like to do a driving holiday in the States, though. We can consider this.

McT, California has great drives on highway 1. The geography isn't bad either, from the Sierras to the Pacific, we have beautiful lakes, Disneyland, San Francisco, Yosemite, Hollywood, Death Valley, Carmel-Monterey, and wine country with over 1000 wineries.

It will be great having you back in Chi-town, Walter. We'll miss meeting Mrs Walter, but we understand the situation at home with your mother's care.

Let's see.... May 31st is a Thursday, which means JW could meet you for breakfast on Friday, and I can come down in the afternoon, and then joe ..... KIDDING!!!! Laughing

Very good news, Walter, I'm looking forward to seeing you again.

Actually, meeting Walter for breakfast would be fun for me. As you know, JPB, I am not allowed to go out after dark. Smile

I just wanted to post that, wandel

(Since I'm momentarily not sure about the hotel, we can decide anout the place later - but the one, we had had breakfast before was not bad at all!!!)

Not to jump into the euphoria of Walter's visit in June, but this is getting close enough for people to start thinking about in terms of when and possibly where.

joe has indicated no preference for Friday (12/1) or Saturday the 2nd.

Gargamel has said he's interested in getting together - do you have a preferred evening, G?

Sublime works too hard, but I'm hoping this is still on his radar. I think Saturday night would be preferable for him, unless he's going to Michigan that weekend.

CotL sends regrets for December and will look to join us another time.

I don't have a strong preference for either night. I'll have to deal with inbound traffic on Friday but I also need to get up fairly early on Sunday, so it's a wash for me.

Since joe and I have no preference for which night, I'll defer to Gargamel and Sublime for input before going any further. We can focus on the where once we decide on the when.
