Katrina effected more than New Orleans

I'm sure alot of you have seen it on the television, but the television doesn't do it justice and that is because all the television shows is New Orleans. Well, if not for the levees breaking New Orleans would be fine, and this is a problem that even the people here in Mississippi have been aware of since 1998 and hurricane George, so why that hasn't already been fixed is inexcusable. But "ground zero" of this disaster is most emphatically The Mississippi Gulf Coast which has been absolutely obliterated. The Coast accounts for nearly 60 percent of the entire states income, and now it is all virtually gone, big problem I'd say. So things like this lead me to think that if it is not in New York it isn't important, and if it isn't in a big city like New Orleans, it isn't even news worthy. Example, how many of you have heard of Bay St. Louis, Pass Christian, Gulfport, Biloxi, Diamondhead, or Pascagoula? With the exception of Biloxi and maybe Gulfport I'd guess you haven't. These cities are the cities that have without a doubt been the most devastated by the storm itself, and they are going unnoticed and I think that it is absolutely ridiculous.
