Hi!
simple enough question:
can you get pills to make you gay?
you can get a sex change, so why not a sexuality change?

a sex change is a physical thing - it forces one's body to be different physically. What you're asking about would have to change one's genetic makeup, or at least one's physological perspective.

So, comparing the sex change process with your so-called gay pills is like comparing apples and boulders.

Mercifully I never needed no stinking dumb a$$ pills to be gay. It just came naturally.

I suppose pills of a particular type could make a persons mind process change but my question would be to what end? Why change something which so clearly defines at least a part of a person? Further, what happens if you run out of pills? What if the effect of the pills wears off during sexual contact? Just let people be who they're meant to be with regard to sexuality. No reason, whatsoever to tamper with the originals.

Holy crap, sturgis! First I find out that you're not a kid, and now you drop this gay bombshell on me.

What's next? Are you hiding Elvis?

Sturgis has me all confused too. He's an ex hippy, gay and a conservative living in VT? Is that right?

Gus...No, I am actually hiding Conway Twitty Shocked ...he is out in my shed chopping lumber and doing Elvis sounds...maybe that's where the confusion is from. Just don't tell that crazy woman Loretta Lynn she'll want to do another duet with him.

(Gee, I thought everybody already knew I was gay...didn't ya notice the drool slobber on your avatar as of late? )

I refuse to acknowledge myself as being an EX-hippy. Now give me back my love beads and peace sign man.

Yup. You got it, a gay conservative in liberal land...strange but true.

He's in Vermont, which is more like a herd of cats than a state.

Ah, that would explain how he can be conservative AND gay?

Hasn't Vermont been kind of enlighteneder for a long time?

Is enlighteneder a word?

Vermont was traditionally a very conservative state. Old-stock Vermonters were as red (and sometimes rednecked) as any. A large influx of liberals arrived in the 60s and later. They were not-so-lovingly referred to as 'flat-landers'. Over the course of time the flat-landers began to outnumber to old guard and ultra-liberals like socialist Bernie Sanders won state-wide elections.

There are still many old-guard natives in Vermont. I don't know about Sturgis, but my extended family is still there and still very conservative.

Yes, it has, dlowan. Is there a similar region in Australia?

Or does barbarism reign throughout?

Hmmm, well, my own state has always been socially progressive.

Women got to vote from 1894 on, homosexuality decriminalised very early, land rights early, anti discrimination laws and equal opportunity laws very early on, that sort of stuff.....

But there is also a strong element of ultra conservatism, and we have fallen behind in legislative matters re these things.

Dunno.

Sydney would be the most gay friendly city...

Gay pills?! Laughing Maybe that could solve some population problems!

I have heard some interesting stories about folks who receive hormone replacement for therapy who has suddenly 'discovered' they have feelings for the same sex (feelings they didn't have before; supposedly).

I do think a lot of sexual orientation is biochemical. Not all , of course, and I don't want to make sweeping generalizations. Just out of curiousity, I have explored this on my own. With myself, my hormones are considered 'abnormal' for a female. And my sexual orientation reflects that in a way.

So, I think it would be possible to alter sexual orientation with hormones. It would be somewhat hit and miss; and I don't see the point, but I guess it could be done.?!

just an idea....

flushed, what are you talking about?
we all know that women are always right and men are always wrong.
if they just understood that simple fact, it would make women the easiest things in the world.

Is that why women ALWAYS get the last word in any argument?
Or is it because men know that the next thing they say starts another argument?
