How do you say "live for today" in french.

jkidd, welcome to A2K. I am not French, but I did find this on the web:

Vivez pour le jour.

Hope that is the correct one.

that literally means "live for the day" and you could change "jour" to "journee" to make it more meaningful.

"Vis au jour le jour"
"Vis pour aujourd'hui"
"Vis ta vie maintenant"
A beautifull sentence awfully difficult to translate perfectly...

Radical Edward, No one can do French like a Frenchman. You are a man, right? American idioms and patois are difficult as well.

"Vis pour aujourd'hui" is what I would have said, but, then, my French is awfully rudimentary.

"Vis au jour le jour" is the more appropriate for me. It's not the litteral translation of "Live for today", but it keeps the poetic aspect of the sentence...

"Vis au jour le jour" is as well what is noted on the various 'paroles'- websites.
