was just wondering if sleeping with earplugs in over a long period of time, say about 2 years, damages them, or can make you go deaf.
Because I dont really want to go deaf.
All I can think is that they may push wax further into the ear, like the concern has been with ear buds/que tips used to clean ears.
Other than that Im not sure.

I originally used them because the centeral heating made a noise and i couldnt get to sleep, and then my dog had fleas and used to scratch all night.
and then i just kept on usin them, but now if i sleep without them I wake up really easilly, and it makes me really tired.

i use them a lot too. haven't gone deaf yet. consider getting one of those white noise alarm clocks, it may help you sleep without stuffing earplugs in. may take time to get used to, but is probably a healthier alternative. although i'm not sure if earplugs cause any damage to ear channels, probably not really.
