CHICAGO ?- A commuter train derailed Saturday morning on Chicago's South Side, a police spokeswoman said.

Dozens of emergency vehicles and a helicopter were at the scene of the derailment, which took place around 8:36 a.m., said police spokeswoman Laura Kubiak.

Kubiak did not have information about how many people were injured, but emergency services workers removed at least a dozen people from the train on stretchers.
