How often and how long do you exercise every day?

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum!
I find my life has become really sedentary in recent years, so I often squeeze in a 20-minute walk or quick workout. I'm curious, how do you guys fit exercise into your daily routine?

Hello Ruby and welcome aboard

My only exercise most days is a 15 minutes round trip to the shops and back, or occasionally a 1 hour early morning walk before the world is waking up, I like walking under the stars. I've never liked exercise for its own sake, so I only got it as a beneficial side effect of doing something else, either work or hillwalking. Being retired now I am happy with my sedentary or lazy lifestyle

Hi Ruby, I'm newer than you are, but it's a good question.

I try to get at least 30 minutes a day - but find an exercise you like to do. You'll stick with it if you do.

30 minutes per day for 7 days per week? Seriously?! Do you expect that of others? Do you think anyone will follow that?

30 minutes is fine, but i'd take a rest day in there somewhere...

Many authoritative reports on physical fitness state that what is needed for cardiovascular health is 20 minutes at 3 times per week performed at a moderate HR (100-120 bpm). This is sustainable and helps prevent overtraining and staleness.

Alternate - do strength training on set days, and cardio every other day.

Anyone can follow what they want to do, whether it's what I do or something else.
