I keep on getting flashbacks, every time i close my eyes, i can see things i dont want to see, things i can't look at anymore.
i dream these things and it wakes me up, i daren't even go to sleep any more

this is not what i want to remember and not how it should be
i cant even remember what my sweet nats face looked like

AAAARRRRGGGGGGHHHHH


how can you heal when your nightmare is right there in your face all the time?

you need to just take it head on.
I dont know the situation so I will be vague.. but

When you try to 'forget' you repress your feelings.
Repressing is like a time bomb. You can only pack it in so much before there is no more room TO pack away your feelings and they just explode.
No control. no order no nothing..
your emotions are everywhere and harder then ever to deal with.
The initial phase of healing is painful.
It requires truth, honesty and comes with a rainbow of emotions sometimes too much to handle.
Deal with it now , or suffer three times as much later.
Do you have someone you can talk to?
Maybe start a journal.
Give these feelings a place to go . Dont shove them down, you will choke on them.

I know what you are talking about and you need to see someone about this. You've been through an extremely traumatic experience and you need to learn how to sort out what you are feeling. You might be able to just let go of this but you might not. You might need the help of some meds to help you sleep. But above all, you need to have faith in the power of yourself. Your friend wouldn't want you to be this way. He wouldn't want you to be as unhappy as he was and if he'd have been in a healthy frame of mind, he would have never hurt you this way. But we know that he wasn't mentally healthy and we know that he never meant to hurt you. So what you need to do is focus on taking care of you. Please get some professional help. They can help you sort out what is in your head and make sense of it. Dreams are often manifestations of what we are feeling and an attempt to sort those feelings out.

Remember that we are all here for you and we care but we can only take you so far. The rest is up to you.

yes, i shall make an appointment to see my doc i think.
some drugs probably wouldnt hurt right now

i really ought to try not to post while in a state of total panic!
am feeling quite chilled right now, kinda strange but i like it...

When you look for a therapist, find someone with experience with post traumatic stress disorder. If you call your mental health association in your area, they can give you some referrals. You need someone who has experience with this disorder. Good luck!

i shall try that out, its quite nice to maybe give this feeling a name,
then i wont feel like im going crazy anymore....

i seem to be a little out of control at the mo!
