@Zardoz,
Back in the day when the conquistadors destroyed most of the Aztecs, it was taught because they practiced fornication. Yet back in Europe the clergy's that gave the orders to destroy them were the #1 attendees of the brothels= fornicating. All trinity based religions are far removed from God and his son.

@kjw47,
In the end religion changes nothing. Studies show the percentage of child molesters is no lower in religious organization than the general public. All of that worshiping God made no difference if they were going to molest children, they will molest children. You would think that threats of burning in Hell would slow them down, but it does not. I suspect the same goes for conmen and rapists. Christianity is more show and less for change.

@kjw47,
You are a big believer in circular fire squads. When I was growing up there was not a church on every corner but on most. Each church would say the other churches were fake, and they were the only true church. When you went to the next church, they would tell you the same about other churches. Thus, the decline of Christianity began. Now less than 50% Americans are Christian, and they have no one to blame but themselves. Afterall who are you going to believe? If 90% of other churches are teaching false doctrine and they say the other 90% is teaching false doctrine the reasonable conclusion is that it is all false doctrine.

@Zardoz,
The teachings of Jesus show who is who. Trinity based religions do not listen to Jesus.

@kjw47,
When one Christian Church attack another as illegitimate or fake they both lose. This was a trick to maximize the number of people in the pews during the heyday of Christianity in the50s and 60s by saying they had the one true church, and others were not really true Christian churches. You reap what you sew, and now massive million-dollar churches have only 3 or 4 members because as each church claimed the other was illegitimate the public realized they were all right, that all of them were fake.

The claim that they had the one true church had short term gains but long-term damage. They were all Christian churches who had dispute about the interpretation of articles of faith. The one true church doctrine set one church against another and only ended with damage to both.

No trinity religion ever had Jesus. They are spawns of satan-2Thess 2:3=the great apostasy. They are a mass of confusion.

@kjw47,
As long as the Christan churches continue to cannibalize each other Christianity will continue to decline. The proper response should be "I don't believe as they believe but I respect their right to believe it." The old story about a preacher applies. The preacher giving sermon said, People were not intended to think alike. He said if everybody thought alike everybody would want my wife and old drunk stood up in the back of the church and said if everybody thought like me nobody would want her.

There is a song that goes "I should think a little more of others and a little less of me." That applies to religion, all the differences between religious sects come down to ego. The overriding ego of some preachers allows them to believe that they are the only true church founded by Jesus but in the long run it is fear, fear that they may be wrong that drives them. It is nothing like insecurity to convince someone that they are right.

The world is a big place and how fortunate they were born close to the one true church. They could have been born anywhere but they were born there. In churches small differences in doctrine create huge differences between congregations. It sets up never ending turf wars. They can never concede that their interpretation of scripture is not the only correct one. Language changes over 2,000 years and translators make mistakes. The recent disclosure that the word for virgin was a mistranslation hits at the very foundation of Christianity.

My 98-mother died Sunday evening. She did not have any last rites administered. With the number of people dying these days the priests would have a hard time being everywhere at the same time. Do I think she came back like in video game except 70 years younger? If you came back as a 98-year-old you would be extremely disappointing. Did I need the popular fairy tale to accept her death. No. Funerals should focus on a celebration of life not a recruiting session for the Christian Cult. At my grandmother's funeral they made an attempt to rope me back into the cult. That was a waste of their time. They had their prop, the body, there is nothing like a body to generate the fear of death when you yield fear you abandon reason.

We know that the Christian Cult wants to use the public schools to recruit children into their cult. Children are extremely vulnerable to cults at that stage of life. Studies of the brain of children have shown that though the gray matter has developed through childhood the white matter is not complete until they are 25. The white matter is like adding high speed internet to the brain. The front part of the brain is the executive decision maker and the last area of the brain to have the white matter completed. The Christian cult wants to implant their virus before the person brain is fully developed. We have all experienced what a virus can do to a computer. I had one that would shuffle all the icons as soon as I approached it with the cursor. This is cult who leaders have fully developed brains are taking advantage of whose brains have not fully developed.

This is child molestation plain and simple. The fact that our government is being used to spread the Christian cult virus is disgrace. Laws that mandate the posting of the Ten Commandments in schools, mandatory Trump bibles in schools and the study of bible stories in schools is just a foot in the door that allows the Christian to inject the Christian virus into children, a virus that lasts a lifetime and no antivirus can remove.

You would think the Christians would be happy just catching the flies that wandered into their web but like greed it is bottomless. Like a shark that must swim to breathe they must spread the good word to exist. Young Mormons are required to spend a year spreading the virus and as long as they stay out of public schools there would not be a problem. But the public schools are the most attractive target because school children can't fight back, they don't have enough white matter. Most people will not stand up against the majority. Whatever the majority wants is good enough for them. Even my mom saw nothing wrong with prayer in school, but she saw it from her perspective not from perspective children of other faiths or others that their family didn't believe.

When the Christian cult sets up a beachhead in public schools it amounts to government endorsement of the Christian myth. Children are sent to school to learn from an authority they are taught to respect that authority and believe what they are taught. One state has started teaching bible stories in their schools. This is teaching myths as facts.

My doctor is from Egypt and has several children I don't know what the prevailing myth is in Egypt, but I am sure it isn't Christianity. Imagine how they must feel when facing pressure from peers let alone an official government religion. When government puts religion in schools, whether it be prayer, bibles, teaching bible stories, or posting the ten commandments. This is creating an official government religion in environment where children's minds can easily be molested.

When the catholic church was trying to pressure my parents into sending me to catholic school the priest said, "If you send him to catholic school I will have him for life." I think for the most part that is true no doubt most of the children who went to catholic school remained members for life. It is the power that cults exert over its members. I like to think my power of logic would have won out but when faced with overwhelming power it would be hard to escape undamaged. By my senior year in public school many of the children from catholic school began to transfer into public school. One young lady was caught trying to do the entire basketball team. When teenage girls start to act out sexually itis usually because they were being molested. I don't know the details but a number of children from catholic school transferred to public school in their senior year. Whatever went on had to go beyond the girl incedent. The catholic church would have buried the whole incident if they could, but too many people were involved to silence all of incident.

That was quite shocking in 1968 nice catholic girls didn't get caught in the boy's locker room or other girls for that matter. I suspect the girl was being molested and probably from an early age and that was a cry for help. I wonder what the percentage girls molested in catholic school is verses private school. We know the same percentage of priests molest children as general population but what about the number of victims. The cults power dynamics makes more victims available and the cult culture of covering up sexual misconduct is the perfect breeding ground for sexual misconduct. There were three high schools in town so we would have only seen a third of the transfers. The supernatural nature of cults confers more power on cult leaders.

They say sexual assault is not about sex it is about power. The powerful one can make the other submit to just about anything including sex. The molester gets off on the power not the sex. Cults put people in positions of power that they would not otherwise have. Position of power attracts molesters.

The Boy Scout had 186,000 victims of sexual assault that sued and that doesn't count the victims that too embarrassed to sue. One scout master admitted the reason he became a scout master was easy access to boys. I am ashamed to say we live in a country where one in four women are raped. I thought that figure was way off until I look back at the women I had dated and it is sad to say the figure may be low. We live in culture that has tolerated this for generations it is time it changed. Vesting power in people who should not have it is a bad idea.

One man was driving down the interstate when his car quit. He goes out and lifts the hood and notices the back of his car is being jacked up. He confronts the guy and the guy says you can have the battery all I want is the tires. That was a true story. In America today there are two groups that have gained a lot of political power. The ungodly greedy used their huge wealth to get the politicians to borrow $40 trillion to give them unneeded tax cuts and the Christian right used numbers to bring back that old time religion. Where you can torture and burn at the stake anyone who does not belong to your cult. Give me that good old-time religion.

The ungodly greedy have already stolen the tires and the Christian right got the battery where does that leave the rest of us? The national debt was paid off by every president since WWII it would have been paid off in the early 90s, but Reagan did not pay it down he tripled it. Why did he triple the national debt? To give 75% tax cuts to the ungodly greedy. He also raised social security taxes 5 times. This was America's first taste of conservativisms. The philosophy fathered by Frank Myers, a card-carrying communist who taught communism in America, changed the attitude that the ungodly greedy needed to pay their fair share of taxes. Myers was thrown out of England for starting the communist youth movement.

The Christian right just wants control of people. They want to be able to hang people if they won't convert to their cult like they did in Flordia where 200 French Argonauts were hung with signs saying they would not convert. The Christian rights only wants the battery the ungodly greedy can have the tires.

If rape and child molestation are not about sex but power what is religion about. Religion is about power, power over your time, power over your money, and power over your thought process. Where is the preacher who bought his wife a birthday present, a Lamborghini SUV going to get the money to buy another one? His congregation. You can't own just one $450,000 Lamborghini. I get it he is a superstar on the pulpit and should be paid what professional athlete makes. It very obvious that you can mold Christianity into anything that a conman wants it to be.

All cons involve a reward what is the reward in the Christian cult? The reward for Christianity is being on your knees for eternity praising God. After the first million years or so it will become a nightmare not a reward. As religion progress they are no longer satisfied with power over your mind, money and time, they want the ultimate power of life and death. They believe that God selected them to run the world. We are now witnessing a religious war in Iran as Christians, and the Jews takes on Islam. People are dying in this religious war.
