I'm looking for a site where I can check on very local N.O. hurricane damage and accessibility. The chat,
www.nola.com, I've tried had very little info, and I'd like to find some other sites. (Unfortunately a couple of jerks got onlie and their posts were so rough that the chatroom closed down for the time being.)
Links to New Orleans Local Media
The Katrina-related coverage on
WDSU Channel 6 is pretty good, IMO - I've been following it closely.
Local New Orleans news
Thanks, Timber. WDSU had a good satellite picture, from which it would appear that my old school and my great-aunts' house are in bad shape; The school was not completely inundated, but had to close down and redistribute the students; the house is probably totalled.
Times Picayune online
I just heard the editor of the Times Picayune by phone on NPR. He says they've been publishing online. I would think that might be some source of local news. Good luck
For sure-good luck.
I'm sorry mags but I felt our game had become inappropriate.Like telling jokes at a funeral.I look forward to recovering soon and renewing our happy acquaintance.Keep your chin up.It's difficult to think of anything else I know but we are going to have to try.All your true friends are in grief.
I agree, Spendius
Yes, in light of what's going on here, I fully agree. We'll get back to it later.
