Taddling? Avoiding Conflictive Interest?

There is a rule where I work that employees may not own certain stocks that might cause a conflictive interest vis-a-vis their employment responsibilities.

I happened to find out that a particular employee has a position in a prohibited stock.

I don't really believe that his holding the stock is impacting his performance of his duties.

Is it proper to tell on him?
