Week late--and the advice is only worth $.33, but always pack a needle when you're hiking.

You can remove splinters and puncture blisters and stitch up the seat of your pants.

No thread? Unravel a thread from the hole.

Did you bring some pot on your hike, littlek?

To me, that is the most essential ingredient of any hike.

The pot then would be to boil water for Ramen?

I would say so. Of course, your hike wasn't that long, so carrying the water was probably the best idea.

Day hike, carry water. Overnight, take a purification pump. Purification tablets sure, cuz they weigh nothing.

Someone makes a litter bottle that has a filter in it. Fill up the bottle and when you stream it through the tip, the watre first passes through the filter before exiting the bottle. Wow. Did that make ANY sense at all?
