Parents putting their children at risk of OBESITY(UK)

No joke! So many kids eat there dinner from a convenience store. Don't know what state you are in BUT many states are throwing the junk food out of schools.

I HAVE READ THAT CALIFORNIA? IS GOING TO BAN JUNK FOOD.

Badboy, the word is "junk". No one can prevent parents from buying crap & feeding it to their children. However, while these children are within public schools we owe it to them to provide good nutrition. There are several bills in the House right now:
Senator Harkin and Representative Woolsey's "Child Nutrition Promotion and School Lunch Protection" bills would improve the nutritional quality of school foods by updating the nutrition standards for all foods and beverages sold in schools throughout the school day, including in vending machines, snack lines, and school stores.
Please remember that these kids are "sitting ducks" for corporations. And brother these corporations know it!

Under 16s are spending an average of 2 and a half months staring at screens.

1/5 boys and 1/3 girls will be obese by 2020, if current trends continue.
