Liver and neck pain....linked?

Hi, my mum has a liver complaint and when she has things high in fat, or alcohol, or additives, or seeds etc etc etc etc, she gets really severe pain in her liver. She's been to drs etc and they can't really find out what's wrong. But recently she's started getting neck pain aswell, and I was wondering if the 2 were linked?

Please if you can give me any information/help, please do!!!
