Hi. I read books from 2 translation theorists: Vinay and Darbelnet. But I do NOT know how to pronounce their names. I gather they are French. Who knows th correct pronunciation? Rolling Eyes

Vinay sounds like veenay
Darbelnet sounds like darhhhbelnay

There is a Vinay-Darbelnet Prize awarded in Canada.

You read books by French translation theorists but you cannot pronounce French names???? mais comment? You have some catching up to do...
