Agree right down the line, Mamajuana. Well, maybe one quibble. Gregory is a nice name, not in the same category as George! Maybe we'd have a better sense of where this country is with respect to its dubious president if we looked at the annual statistics on what people are naming their male babies. Is George up or down? Anyone know?
perhaps with the demise of "Seinfeld" the george name has fallen on hard times.
checked the net for baby names 2001, George is not in the top 100
I even went as far as Saskatchewan and George isn't there. The Social Security lists stop at 2001. MAYBE THAT'S WHY!!
Never even considered it. Closest was my sister's father-in-law. We tend more to Thomas and stuff like that. Last grandson in line has four names plus last name, because he's it. A very funny, tough, 11 year old, loves all his names. I'm educating him in socialism to balance his conservative father.
And, while I'm at it, Howard is not a favorite first name with me, but I could learn to like it.
dys - not even in the first 100?
Don't like Dick either - to abrupt!
Anyone name Dick or Richard or George for that matter, this just relates to a child's naming convention, you're cool
